03/12/2018 - Isle of Man could see Xmas post strikes

Isle of Man Post Office logoPostal members of the Communication Workers Union (CWU) are being balloted for industrial action in a dispute over changes to their pay and conditions at the Isle of Man Post Office.

The ballot closes on December 4.

The CWU has described the proposed changes to pay, pensions, terms and conditions and service levels as the ’most horrific’ they have ever seen in the Isle of Man from the Post Office board - and amounted to ’privatisation by the back door’.

It is urging members to vote ’yes’ for industrial action.
